Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Shopify Developer who is comfortable programming on the Shopify platform to:

• Convert specifications and mock-ups into fully functional solutions
• Modify and update current sites to incorporate new features and enhance UI/UX design
• Develop and test third-party Shopify applications
• Create and customize Shopify accounts
• Perform expertise in all areas of the E-commerce platform.
• Work with the UI and UX design teams to make an inventive, strong, and unique user experience.
• Ensure smooth connection with the Shopify Apps, Marketing Tools, and Platform APIs.
• Debug and test out the websites regularly to enhance their performance.
• Offer coordination and technical support to protect the company against failure.
• Increase the conversion rates by optimizing websites.
• Act as a Shopify expert, specializing in all facets of the eCommerce platform.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related discipline
• Strong knowledge of Shopify’s theming system and Liquid templating
• Experience with Shopify Plus is a plus
• Perfect communication skills in English are needed
• Experience with leading a team
• Broad shop construction, launch, and maintenance expertise, as well as a general understanding of the admin system
• Proven skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, as well as a thorough grasp of the DOM
• Previous experience working with a custom theme and/or the Storefront API
• Previous experience implementing/debugging third-party Shopify apps, as well as building unique solutions if needed
• In-depth knowledge and expertise with vanilla JavaScript, ES2015/ES6, and current JavaScript frameworks
• Working knowledge of Shopify’s object/properties, AJAX API, and Metafields
• Extensive testing and debugging abilities using the browser console and other tools
• Prior experience developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
• Capable of communicating effectively and reliably
• Have 8+ years of experience working as a developer
• Solid expertise integrating with Rest and GraphQL APIs
• Experience in MySQL or similar databases
• Attention to detail when implementing designs and creative visions.
• Be willing to review others’ work and to take feedback from others constructively
• An ability to take ownership of a project and to see it through at the highest quality
